2. Fried Foods
Foods that contain high amounts of trans fats can make any thyroid medication less effective. Also, they have a huge effect on the body’s ability of producing hormones. Any person who takes these kinds of medications is advised to cut fried foods from their diet.
Consuming soy can prevent the body from absorbing the treatment it needs, particularly those who use a synthetic thyroid hormone for hypothyroidism treatment, or supplements such as magnesium, calcium, and antacids.
